WhatsApp Video Calling; How to Become a Beta Tester


WhatsApp is the No.1 Social Messaging App all over the world, the mobile messaging app announced more than 1 billion monthly active users, up from over 700 million in January 2015. 


The service is one of the most popular mobile apps worldwide. Now, WhatsApp has been introduced a new feature, That is 'Video Calling'. 

But this Feature available only the beta testers. WhatsApp’s video-calling feature has finally been rolled out with version 2.16.316 or higher.
  1. • Go to Google Play Store and search for WhatsApp
  2. • Click on the WhatsApp Messenger options
  3. Scroll down to ‘Become a beta tester’ option below ‘You might also like’ section’
  4. • The ‘Become a beta tester’ option read, “Try new features before they’re made public. Give your feedback directly to the developer.”
  5. Now, click on ‘I’m in’
  6. • Once you become a beta tester for WhatsApp, you’ll have access to all the beta features rolled out for the app. You’ll also see an option to enter feedback about the app. You’ll see a band below you profile that says, “Only the developer can see this feedback”.
  7. Then Install/Update new WhatsApp Beta Version.
    Then, Open a contact in WhatsApp and click the phone icon from the band above. You will have an option to choose from Voice call and Video call now.
    Choose the Video call option to start a video calling, Remember, the feature only works if you friend is on the same WhatsApp version.
